Frequently Asked
Questions
Q. If I file for bankruptcy, will I ever be able to
get credit again?
A. Yes. Remember when you file for bankruptcy you are getting
rid of your debt, which puts you in a better position to handle
new credit in the future. This is a good and bad thing. The
good thing is that you are on your way to rebuilding your
credit history. The bad thing is that if you are not careful,
you can get yourself back into trouble with debt. Typically if
you have not re-established good credit in 2 to 4 years,
sufficient to by or refinance a house, it is more likely than
not related to the filing of
bankruptcy.
